An Imperfect Date

How did you meet? A typical question asked to every couple. I was wandering through a wealthy neighborhood in Beverly Hills looking for someone to marry me. It was to make my sworn friend, who recently fired me, envious. He was walking towards me, mumbling something under his breath. And then we collided! I'll say right away: there were no sparks. Not a hint of a budding romance. But desperate people do crazy things! To help each other, we made a deal. And so I became his pregnant fiancée.
