Python 3 and PyQt 6. Application Development

The Python 3 language is described: data types, operators, branching and selection conditions, loops, regular expressions, functions, classes, working with files and directories, interaction with Windows mechanisms, commonly used modules of the standard library. Special attention is given to the... PyQt library, which allows creating applications with a graphical interface. Tools for creating and displaying windows, basic components (buttons, fields, lists, tables, menus, toolbars, etc.) are described. Event and signal handling, development of multithreaded programs, working with databases, graphic output, multimedia playback, audio, video and photo recording, document printing, exporting them to Adobe PDF format, and saving program settings are considered. An example of a fully functional application for creating and solving Sudoku puzzles is provided. An electronic archive with all examples from the book is available on the publisher's website.
