Phase of the Inhibitors

The interstellar civilization did not survive the invasion of the inhibitors — ruthless and incredibly patient cybernetic beings who aimed to completely cleanse the space they had captured of humanity. The few surviving humans partially sheltered on the wreckage of... their worlds, while others scattered across the Galaxy. For thirty years, the tiny community huddled in the hollow bowels of an airless, cratered planet, hoping to live until the day when the threat would pass. And suddenly, the surveillance equipment reported that a ship was approaching the planet. The probability that it would lead enemies to their refuge was enormous.
