Bushido. The Samurai Code

Bushido – is a philosophy and morality that has roots in ancient times. Containing a set of postulates, along with a comprehensive education, the code required the samurai to perform their duty impeccably, as well as to possess outstanding abilities... and to tirelessly strive for self-improvement. Constantly thinking about death in order to be ready to give one’s life with honor at any moment – this is the main task of Japanese warriors. However, this ideology was not aimed solely at them – in the absence of their husbands, women became defenders of their homes from outsiders and even participated in real battles. Bushido. The Warrior's Code is a unique collection of texts through which the reader will plunge into the era of Ancient Japan and look at some things from a new perspective.
