Notes of a Doctor

A popular joke states that in the late 19th century, the majority of writers were produced by medical institutes. Thus, Vikenty Veresaev (1867—1945), a contemporary of Chekhov and Bulgakov, was also a doctor with literary talent. He translated his difficult... work experience onto the pages of the novella "Notes of a Doctor," which, immediately after its release in 1901, caused a significant public resonance. And although it seems that medicine has advanced greatly since then, the questions raised by the author remain relevant at all times. Would you go for surgery with a novice doctor?
