After the parents of the main character of the novel – Mary Lennox – die of... cholera, she is sent to the care of a distant uncle who lives in a huge mansion. Her life begins to change dramatically when she learns about the existence of a mysterious garden, securely hidden from human eyes. Together with newfound friends, she starts to take care of it and opens her heart to goodness and love.
