Nanny. I Was Raised by a Serial Killer

The tumultuous 1960s, the era of hippies, rock and roll, and drugs. Little Liza has a less-than-stellar mother. Tony Costa, nicknamed the Carpenter Killer and Jack the Ripper of the hippie era, led an antisocial lifestyle, killing and dismembering girls with whom he became close through drug use. As a child, Liza didn't understand that the mysterious murders whispered about by adults were his doing, but as she grew up and realized, she immersed herself in the investigation of his murders. The result was a book — partly true crime, partly her own memories — about the friendship of a lonely little girl and a cold-blooded serial killer.
