"Go" is a game about territory capture.
Players share the board using pieces of their color. The main value is the territory that the player has enclosed. In a turn, the player either places one of their pieces or passes. A unique feature of the game is that pieces are placed not on squares, but on the intersections of lines. This set with a 9 by 9 line board is a starter variant for beginners. Professional players use a 19 by 19 line board. Thanks to the double-sided board, this set can also be used to play checkers. The history of "Go" spans at least 3000 years. According to legends, the game "Go" was invented in Ancient China by the legendary Emperor Yao for his son, in order to develop his mind and ability to concentrate attention.
