What lies behind the pages of the New Testament? Gospels that were not included in the Bible but were written in the same times — by contemporaries of the apostles or their closest disciples. The Church did not recognize them as canonical: it proved too difficult to confirm their authenticity. However, these texts have been carefully preserved for centuries and have conveyed to us amazing details about the childhood of Jesus, about Mary, about Joseph, about Mary Magdalene.
