In 1922, the artist, typographer, director, and creator of the theory of constructivism, Alexei Gan, published the propaganda brochure "Constructivism" at the Tver publishing house "October." This manifesto not only became the first theoretical work on the ways of developing... new proletarian art, but also a vivid example of typographic design of its time. The reprint edition of Alexei Gan's book is preceded by an article by Olga Safonova, which characterizes the historical context and circumstances of the publication's release based on archival documents, periodicals, and the memories of contemporaries.
