Antonio Tabucchi is a world-renowned author, his works have received multiple awards, and he gained global fame with the novel "Pereira Maintains." In 1987, "Indian Nocturne" was recognized in France as the best foreign novel, awarded the "Medici Prize," and adapted into film in 1989 by director Alain Corneau. The film "Indian Nocturne" was nominated for a "César" award in several categories and won for best cinematography.
