Aristotle is one of the greatest thinkers of antiquity, an encyclopedic scholar who was at the origins of modern science; a student of Plato and tutor to Alexander the Great, who summarized in his works the experience of the classical era of ancient Greek philosophy and had a tremendous influence on the development of European and world culture. Aristotle developed one of the first universal models of the universe and a comprehensive system of scientific knowledge that covers the most diverse areas of human life; the circle of concepts outlined by Aristotle and the terminology he introduced are still used in the philosophical lexicon and largely define the benchmarks and horizons of modern scientific thinking. This edition includes the most important logical treatises of Aristotle included in the "Organon": "Categories", "On Interpretation", and the first and second "Analytics".
