What is it like to live in another country and, upon returning home, discover that nothing has changed - except for yourself? This is the fate that befell Lucia and Piero, the heroes of this tender story of "the education... of feelings," told by the Italian comic book author Manuele Fior, who lives in Paris.
After a fierce breakup, Piero and Lucia go their separate ways: she heads to Norway, where she meets the man who will become the father of her child, while he goes to Cairo to immerse himself in Egyptian antiquities. But neither of them can forget each other and fill the void that has arisen. "Five Thousand Kilometers per Second" is a vibrant portrait of a generation that is fickle in everything, even in love, and torn between the desire to escape and the desire to return to its roots.
In 2010, Manuele Fior received the "Best Author" award for this book at the Italian comic festival Lucca Comics and Games, and in 2011 - the "Best Book" award at the French festival in Angoulême.
