This book is a journalistic investigation by Hannes Rostami (1955-2012) dedicated to the first Swedish "serial killer" Thomas Quick.
Thomas Quick is the pseudonym of Sture Bergwall (b. 1950). He took it after committing a robbery, and newspapers began to write...
about him. In his "track record" are more than twenty confessions to murders and eight court sentences. In an interview with Hannes Rostami, he claims that he never actually killed anyone, and the journalist begins his investigation. Emerging facts overturn the understanding of the work of the judicial and medical systems of Sweden: it is about one of the largest scandals in the country's history.
Based on the materials of the investigation, Rostami initially created a two-part documentary film that received the prestigious Swedish award "Golden Shovel" (2009), and then wrote the book you are holding. These events later formed the basis for the feature film "The Perfect Patient" (2019).
