The book covers the first two seasons of the year — spring and summer — and contains over one and a half thousand haiku by celebrated classics of the genre, translated by the renowned Orientalist Alexander Arkadyevich Dolin. The design features numerous engravings and drawings by medieval Japanese authors, as well as paintings by the well-known contemporary master of Japanese painting in the sumi-e style, Oleg Usov. The collection is complemented by calligraphic works by Stanislav Usov.
