Mountaineer cats have finally reached the desired lands, where there is plenty of game, nothing threatens them, and they can fully show their abilities. But tension between the divided settlers is growing. Clean Sky strictly controls its forest territories, not allowing former friends or local loners to hunt them. His brother Grey Wing, who lives in the wastelands, opposes such orders, convinced that all cats should live in peace and help each other.
Young cat Thunder, son of Clean Sky and pupil of Grey Wing, finds himself at the center of a struggle for power, influence, and territory. He faces a difficult choice between the principles of his father's and uncle's life.
