The situation in the DC universe is escalating. The "Theory of Metahumans" is causing panic and sowing discord among nations around the world. In many countries, regulations regarding metahumans are starting to tighten. Black Adam, the ruler of Kandak, decides... to turn the situation to his advantage: he declares his country open to metahumans from all over the world and invites them to join him…
Meanwhile, Ozymandias finds Doctor Manhattan, but the all-powerful being is not eager to save his native world. Manhattan is much more interested in the DC universe and what place Superman occupies in it. For in the future, Manhattan clearly sees an enraged Man of Steel charging at him, ready to deliver the final blow… and then there is utter darkness. What will happen? Will Superman destroy Doctor Manhattan? Or will Doctor Manhattan destroy the DC universe?..
