In 1893, a coded manuscript from a 16th-century alchemist accidentally comes into the hands of Professor of Mineralogy Otto Lidenbrock, from which he learns that it is possible to reach the center of the Earth. Descending into the crater of one of the volcanoes in Iceland, Professor Lidenbrock, his nephew Axel, and the hired guide Hans enter an amazing underground world inhabited by dangerous and strange creatures… Thus began the adventures of three brave men in the novel 'Journey to the Center of the Earth' by the famous French writer Jules Verne.

This edition reproduces the complete set of 55 illustrations by the well-known French artist Georges Roux.
