The Word of the Mammoth

Misha, the hero of Arthur Givargizov's book "Walrus, Teacher and Poet," is once again setting off on a journey, this time to Altai. If you don't know where that is, you’d better check the map. Even better—buy a ticket to Barnaul, then take a minibus to Tyungur and bring along a backpack, sleeping bag, wool socks... Oh, no, first just read what is written about it in the first story of the collection—"How to Get to Belukha." And how nice it is to return home after a journey, to the place where everything is familiar, cozy and understandable, and to tell the neighbors all about what you saw! However, when Misha returned from Altai, it turned out that extraordinary changes were brewing in his native Pesochnoe. So much so that even a mammoth began to speak.
