What Happened on Christmas

«What Happened on Christmas» — a bright Christmas book for children by Otfried Preussler — a classic of children's literature, author of the famous books «Little Baba Yaga», «Little Ghost», «Little Water Sprite» and «Robber Hotzenplotz», beloved by several generations of readers.

Once a little donkey meets a real angel and sets off with him on an amazing journey following the Christmas star. Along the way, children and adults, forest animals and random passersby join them. Step by step, their journey turns into a true Christmas miracle, filled with light, kindness, and hope.

This fairy tale reminds us that miracles are always closer than they seem, and that good deeds, mutual assistance, and an open heart can unite the most diverse heroes. The gentle text and atmospheric illustrations create a cozy festive mood and help maintain faith in miracles.

The book is perfect for family reading, bedtime stories, and cozy winter evenings. It will make a wonderful gift for a child for New Year and Christmas, help discuss kindness, friendship, and compassion, and will take a worthy place in the home library.
