38 Parrots. New Year's Pie and Other Stories

«38 Parrots. New Year's Pie and Other Stories» — a collection of tales for preschoolers and younger schoolchildren about a familiar group of friends who embark on a winter journey for the New Year's pie, while also encountering a series of funny misunderstandings and discoveries. In Grigory Oster's children's literature, the focus is not on moralizing, but on conversation, wordplay, and the ability to turn an ordinary situation into a funny adventure. Here, a festive plot, curiosity about the structure of the big world, and family stories come together, in which children and adults suddenly see each other in a new light. This edition combines a new tale from the «38 Parrots» series and texts from «Children and These», so it can be read as an encounter with two authorial tones at once: fairy-tale and everyday, but equally ironic.
