The Final Diagnosis

«The Final Diagnosis» — a political detective story about the investigation of the mysterious murder of academician Glushkov in a closed suburban settlement, where behind the external order lie influence, reputational risks, and a struggle of interests. The crime appears almost inexplicable: a person with an impeccable reputation dies, and the investigation has neither a clear motive nor an obvious circle of suspects. The tension builds on the clash of facts, status, and power, where every detail requires new verification, and connections mean no less than evidence. After the scientist's death, FSB officers try to reconstruct the picture of what happened, but the case quickly reaches a dead end. The investigation involves Drongo — an expert analyst who examines not only the circumstances of the crime but also the complex system of personal and political relationships in the upper echelons.
