There Will Be No Lessons!

What unites shy first-graders with veterans from the fourth «B»? Incorrigible hooligans with strong good students? Those whose relatives participate in all the celebrations with those whose mom and dad don’t even come to parent meetings? They are all thrilled by the phrase «There will be no lessons!» — even those who love to learn! Words of enchantment, words of call!

The stories from the collection by Victoria Lederman «There Will Be No Lessons!» are dedicated to elementary school students, from first to fourth grade. These children still have much to learn: patience and discipline, the ability to stand up for themselves and diplomacy. And unpleasant surprises are already falling on them now! For example, the beloved French teacher — the one who assigns nothing and checks nothing — is replaced by a strict and demanding one. Or the awful Miron Solomatin invents an offensive nickname for you, Plyushka — just because you didn’t let him copy. Do you want to go to school when such things happen there? You just want to scream at the top of your lungs: «There will be no le-essons!»
