Castle of Sighs. The Royal Birdkeeper (set of 2 books)

Kazimir de Bopre introduces his young wife to the noble customs and the arrangement of his birdhouse. After his illness, the care of the estate falls on Lizelotta, but she has almost no money and experience in managing the household. A way out appears thanks to Marie Antoinette: the queen notices unusual feathers on the outfit of a familiar baroness and decides to place an order. To fulfill it, the new mistress must restore the birdhouse and gather rare species. She is assisted by Narong — a mysterious foreigner from Siam. While the estate comes back to life, unrest in France intensifies, threatening the usual way of life and the heroine's plans.
