White Spot

"White Spot," which is located somewhere in the vast and wild expanses of Siberia, is not only a topographical concept, but also a hint at the unknown and unexplainable from the perspective of modern science. The action of the new science fiction-adventure novel by Sergey Alexeev begins with the shooting of the "White House" in Moscow in 1993, and then the reader is transported to the hero's past, which unexpectedly turns out to be connected with the falling "stars" in the taiga, gold prospectors in Yakutia, and the activities of the secret German organization "Ahnenerbe," which studied unexplainable phenomena and artifacts to put them at the service of the Third Reich. The main character is a hereditary hunter, Yeremey Osyagin, whose taiga life, filled with harsh natural romance, is intruded upon against his will by urban civilization with the selfish aspirations of unscrupulous politicians, intrigues, and cruelty. The powers that be want the hero to do the impossible - betray his ideals and unexpectedly fall in love. The narrative is filled with amazing events and adventures. Here, the ambitious aspirations of the West intertwine with the ancient culture and mystical secrets of the East. And this clash may prove tragic for both civilizations.
