Tsushima

The novel consists of two parts — «Campaign» and «Battle». First, the author describes the exhausting voyage around Africa: supply problems, harsh living conditions, crew fatigue, tensions between officers and sailors, doubts about the fleet's readiness for the decisive confrontation. An important place is occupied by everyday service, which gradually transforms the military chronicle into a detailed picture of naval life. Not only historical circumstances come to the forefront, but also the state of the people who have to maintain order and composure under constant tension.
