Sense and Sensibility

A whole gallery of vivid images of contemporaries of the classic English literature writer Jane Austen — noble and treacherous, reckless and cowardly, prim and tender — appears on the pages of her works. Austen's first mature novel «Sense and Sensibility» — is about the fates of two sisters, the sensible Elinor and the passionate Marianne. The girls see the world differently: one listens to the voice of her heart, the other acts as reason dictates. Each of them fights for the chance to marry the one she loves against all odds. After all, both desperately want the same thing — love and happiness.
The book has been adapted into film multiple times. This year, in the fall of 2026, a new adaptation of the novel will be released, starring Daisy Edgar-Jones and Esme Creed-Miles.
