Tashkent - the Bread City

The Civil War had barely ended when a new disaster struck the country – a drought. In the Volga region, all the crops perished due to the extreme heat, leading to a terrible famine. A twelve-year-old village boy, Misha Dodonov, was left with his mother and two little brothers. He decides to save his family from imminent starvation by journeying to the distant fairy-tale Tashkent, where wheat grows and there is plenty of cheap bread... But how to get there? And how to survive this difficult journey?..
