Taking advantage of the enemy's confusion, the Trojans make a desperate sortie and come close to the Greek camp. Feeling that defeat is inevitable, Achilles' friend Patroclus puts on the hero's armor and leads the Achaeans into battle disguised as the son of Thetis… In this book, the famous poem by Homer is presented in the translation of the renowned Russian writer and literary scholar Vyacheslav Veresaev.
