The Invention of Morel. Escape Plan

Adolfo Bioy Casares (1914–1999) is a brilliant Argentine writer, a classic of Latin American prose, one of the bright representatives of the "great Argentine trio," which also included Julio Cortázar and Jorge Luis Borges, with whom Bioy Casares shared not only a long friendship but also joint literary projects.
The most famous novel by Bioy Casares is "The Invention of Morel," which has spawned numerous imitations, including in cinema, and is considered an exceptional phenomenon in literature. Borges called it ideal, while Márquez, Cortázar, and Stanisław Lem acknowledged that it influenced their work.
The works included in the collection are united by a mysterious, unsettling atmosphere, dizzying plot twists, and settings – secluded islands where very strange, inexplicable events occur according to usual logic.
