The quiet life on Tehchondo Island in the Yellow Sea is disrupted by the arrival of an urban eccentric. She dresses in European fashion, constantly climbs mountains, and tinkers with insects. Few know that Han Kyung-ae is an entomologist. And very soon, her knowledge helps exonerate a local young man in a murder case.
A year later. In Gyeongson, the body of a strangled singer is found, surrounded by a swarm of bees. At first glance, it seems to be an ordinary robbery. Jewelry and money are missing. But where did the insects come from? A mystery just for Kyung-ae. After examining the victim and the crime scene, the girl notices more and more curious details. Strange wounds, clear signs of a struggle that no one heard in the house, but most importantly—the bees. The criminal definitely brought them along, but why?
Together with her fiancé, doctor Kim Tong, the girl sets out on the trail of the murderer, unaware that this investigation will become the most challenging and dangerous of her life.
