When an old friend approached me with a request to take a look at an unusual house plan he was considering buying, my attention was drawn to a mysterious empty space on the first floor. Therefore, I wrote to a familiar architect, Kurihara. He immediately became interested in the unconventional layout, noting several oddities: a windowless children's room, suspicious room placement, and a secret passage... Kurihara proposed a wild theory, which would have remained just that if later a dismembered body without the left hand had not been found near the house.
