Once Lied

After leaving the service, the heroine lives with her young daughter and tries to return to a normal life. First, under unclear circumstances, her older sister dies, and a few months later she loses her husband Joe Burkett. When the baby monitor records a scene with a person believed to be dead, the official version of events begins to crack. She takes on her own investigation and encounters the secrets of the Burkett family, inconsistencies in the police case, and clues that lead to her military past.
