The Turn of the Road

In the middle of the year and in the middle of her life, Bethany Hamlin sets off on a road trip with her daughter Annie and her ex-mother-in-law Ruth, who has recently become a widow. To cheer herself up, she wants to attend a reunion with her former classmates and, most importantly, see her first love, Royce, whom she has carried feelings for throughout her life. Bethany herself needs time to think about an important decision she must make. Her ex-husband, Grant, now that his second marriage has fallen apart, asks her to reconcile for the sake of their children. Annie wants to prove to her friend that she can perfectly manage without him. The female drivers have a long journey across America ahead of them. They have detailed maps and a carefully planned route, but even a well-planned trip can sometimes bring surprises. Or offer an unexpected encounter… And now the journey from Seattle to the other end of the country could change the lives of three women.
