Yuri Kazakov (1927-1982) – a famous Russian prose writer and screenwriter. Critics called him a worthy successor to Bunin and Chekhov. His short stories reveal deep and touching narratives. Nothing foretells trouble on an early quiet morning when two boys – village Yashka and city newcomer Volodya – are getting ready for fishing. Thus begins the story "Quiet Morning". Yashka knows everything about fishing, but his Moscow friend is a complete novice. The boys have no idea how their trip to the pond will end.
