For many years, the community of "Fallen Angels" hunted Gwen Proctor, blaming her for the murders committed by her late husband, the deceased maniac Melvin Royal. Now the "Angels" have a new weapon: a viral true-crime podcast that has once again pulled Gwen and her family into the public eye — and once again placed them in mortal danger.
Moreover, the FBI shows up with the message: someone is killing Gwen's enemies, leaving a "signature" linking the crimes to Melvin. The evidence points to someone Gwen would suspect last — Sam Cade, a friend, the man she has let into her heart.
