The Soul of Sex

This book is about human sexuality, but it contains no information on biology, anatomy, or health, and it has little to say about sexual techniques and relationships. It begins with the assumption that a person embodies a whole world of meanings, emotions, dreams, desires, fears, past experiences, cultural environment, and the inner life of thought and imagination— in short, it is about the soul. The soul finds fullness where it encounters God, infinity, or anything else that we consider the object of our religious interest. And although I would prefer less obvious phrases, this book is indeed about the soul of sex.
