Charlotte's Cross

A phone call from her sister broke the usual course of Liga Belkina's life. Inta lives in Latvia, her husband left her, and she asks her sister to come. Liga hopes her absence will be short-lived, but strange and frightening things begin to happen to her in Mezhotne. There is a ghost of a respectable old lady wandering around the Mezhotne Palace where she had to find work, her sister was almost poisoned, and she herself was nearly killed. The people living in the village either hide something or are not who they claim to be at all. Unexpected feelings surged up as well, and they were not at all directed toward her husband left in St. Petersburg…
