Tomorrow, Tomorrow

The sun-drenched coastline of Salento, the smell of floral essences and plant oils — this is what home means for Lorenzo and Agnese. The family soap factory, created by their grandfather, was not just a business, but a symbol of a successful shared future. When their father sells the factory to fulfill his dream, a chasm opens between brother and sister. Impulsive as a Mediterranean storm, Lorenzo leaves home with a firm resolution to reclaim what was lost, while confident in her skills but timid outside the factory, Agnese remains working under the guidance of a competitor.

Set against the backdrop of the economic boom of the 1960s, Francesca Giannone unfolds a multilayered narrative about passion and vocation, the difficult choice of one’s path, and the decisions made while following the voice of reason — or the call of the heart.
