The Turnip (with illustrations by Tatyana Kormer)

For this edition of the well-known fairy tale, artist Tatyana Kormer used the leporello format — an accordion book that can be unfolded and turned into a real adventure. Characters appear sequentially on each spread, and at the end, the chain of additions breaks off, showing the "scattered" heroes: the grandfather falls, losing his cap and glasses, and the granddaughter rides away on her bicycle. Such design opens up space for experiments and imagination. And when the book is laid out, the entire story can be grasped at a glance: the child will see how individual characters become part of the overall plot.
