Beastly Detective. The Pickpocket. Book Four

A maniac has appeared in the Far Forest. Ruthless and elusive, he plucks birds and burns feathers to ashes. It seems that even this case cannot stop the Senior Badger of the police, but it is about to hit a dead end: the junior assistant Badgerot has been suspended from duty and is on the list of suspects, while the detective himself is practically ready to give up.
Lack of sleep, endless overtime provided by his new colleague – special agent Supermouse – and a sudden longing for family and comfort are throwing him off balance. But years of experience do not vanish overnight, so Senior Bursuk is gathering his strength for one last case.
It’s finally time to find out where the bird's milk has gone, what the penguin and Badgerot have in common, whether to trust your eyes when you see a ghost, what the management fears, and what "no" means, which is "no."
