Interference

The rainbow bamboo lives for hundreds of years. Generations of people and glassmakers change, and mutually beneficial relationships with an intelligent plant species become commonplace. After the earthquake, aggressive creatures migrate to the city. A dispatched expedition discovers another intelligent species, dangerous and unpredictable, and on top of everything, a ship from Earth is flying towards the world. The memory of the earthly beings makes the mundanes wary, and this is not just prejudice. Earthlings consider mundanes to be simple farmers, while glassmakers are seen as domesticated. Both sides will have much to learn about each other. But while the animals fight for power, the plants dream of the stars.
