Murders in a Manor

After her husband leaves, Laila loses everything: status, money, friends, and her home. To make matters worse, her daughter Bea, a fan of true crime and detective shows, is expelled from school. In a desperate attempt to start anew, Laila agrees to move to Richmond and sort through the cluttered apartment in the luxurious manor "Primrose," inhabited by colorful retirees who begin each morning with bourbon and gossip—in that order. But very soon, the peaceful life in the manor falls apart. The owner of the lavish penthouse in "Primrose" dies and, shortly before his death, announces a reward for anyone who helps solve the murder of his granddaughter, committed within these walls twenty-one years ago. Inspired, Bea immediately takes on the investigation. Laila reluctantly helps her—after all, she is convinced that the killer's trail has long gone cold. But soon, another murder occurs in "Primrose"… and Laila becomes the prime suspect. Now, to avoid prison and, even worse, losing her daughter, she must solve both crimes…
