Murder as a Gift

The death of her mother evokes mixed feelings in young American Kat. On one hand, she is now a complete orphan; on the other, her mother was always absent, traveling the country in search of new sensations. Kat herself leads a quiet life in her hometown of Buffalo and consciously avoids tumultuous passions and impulsive decisions.

But one day, while sorting through her mother's things, the girl suddenly discovers a voucher for a picturesque English village, where a detective quest is held: locals stage a murder plot that guests, fans of classic British detectives, are to solve within seven days. Puzzled yet intrigued by her mother's secret intentions, Kat decides to travel to England alone — and plunges into a whirlwind of incredible events.
