Two corpses were found in the church's treasury. Murder? There is no doubt about it. But what connects the victims – the homeless wanderer Harry Mack and the retired politician Paul Beroun? Neither the beautiful widow of Beroun, nor her respectable brother, nor the aristocratic mother, nor the silent driver seem willing to tell the truth about what happened.
