Munich

1938. Germany is not ready for war, but Hitler intends to seize Czechoslovakia. Great Britain is not ready for war, but must stand with France in defense of the Czechs. Prime Minister Chamberlain seeks Hitler's agreement to meet, hoping to reach a compromise.

Hugh Legat – a rising star of British diplomacy, personal secretary to Chamberlain. Paul von Hartmann – an employee of the German Foreign Ministry and participant in the anti-Hitler conspiracy. These men were friends when they studied at Oxford in the 1920s, but have not been in contact since then. And now they are about to meet in Munich. One is going there to prevent a new world war at any cost, the other – to unleash it immediately.
