The Adventures of the Yellow Suitcase and Other Stories

There is no end to what is found in the yellow suitcase of the Children's Doctor - they say it can cure any illness, and more. It has a magical powder against sadness, an anti-pain mixture, and even 'Real Courage' candies for shy kids. But one day, the suitcase disappears. Now, the cowardly boy Petya and the girl Toma, who never laughs, must help the Children's Doctor retrieve the medicines. After all, if the 'Real Courage' candies are eaten by a tamer in the circus or a test pilot, it could lead to irreversible consequences.

'The Adventures of the Yellow Suitcase' is the most famous fairy tale by Sofia Prokofyeva about courage, responsibility, friendship, and kindness, a story read by more than one generation of schoolchildren. The film of the same name has become a true classic of Soviet cinema and has been repeatedly recognized at international festivals. In addition to 'The Adventures of the Yellow Suitcase,' the collection includes other popular works by the author.
Illustrations for the edition were drawn by Anna Vlasova - a graphic artist who has illustrated over two hundred children's books.
