Black Mass

France in the era of Louis XIV. The beautiful and ambitious Marquise de Montespan wants to become the new favorite of the king, who no longer feels the same passion for Louise de La Vallière. The Marquise is almost certain of success, but to overcome her last doubts, she turns to a fortune-teller, whose services are used by many noble ladies at court. The fortune-teller, who is also a witch, persuades the Marquise to seek assistance from dark forces and undergo a terrifying ritual called "black mass." This ritual is supposed to help the Marquise not only win the heart of Louis XIV but also become the new queen of France. The Marquise is ready to do anything for the crown and does not yet know that she will have to sacrifice her true love.
