Sun Wukong — The Monkey King

Once a Tang monk named Xuánzàng set out for distant India to retrieve sacred scriptures on the command of Buddha himself. His amazing adventures became intertwined with legends and tales, became part of folklore, and finally manifested in the remarkable novel by Wu Cheng'en "Journey to the West", which became a classic of not only Chinese but also world literature. "Sun Wukong — The Monkey King" is a shortened version of the great Chinese epic of the sixteenth century.
