The Cat-Varcot

The collection features songs, fairy tales, and riddles about the cat — a bright and unusual character in folklore and literature. The little cat loves to warm itself by the oven and enjoy sour cream or a mouse, and it is also a cunning and fearless warrior who always comes to the aid of friends, protects small children, and brings them dreams.

The illustrations for the book were created by the classic of children's book illustration Yuri Alekseyevich Vasnetsov. In the images created by the artist, goodness, real miracles, and sincere love for young readers live.
